In a shocking turn of events, Prince Harry has once again ignited the flames of his ongoing battle against the British press.
This time, he has dragged his brother, Prince William, into the fray by alleging that the future king has quietly settled a phone hacking claim for a substantial sum of money.
The Duke of Sussex claims that Prince William received the payout as part of a secret agreement and even accused the Queen of being involved in the deal.
According to Prince Harry, his brother received the money behind closed doors in 2020 from newsgroup newspapers NGN, which is the publisher of The Sun and the now-defunct News of the World.
These revelations have come to light as part of Prince Harry’s legal fight against NGN, alongside actor Hugh Grant, over alleged unlawful information gathering at these publications.
Adding fuel to the fire, Prince Harry has been making headlines himself with various controversial actions.
He allegedly earned $28 million from publishing private conversations involving his brother, Catherine, and his father in a book.
He also reportedly sold a six-part documentary for $100,000, which delved into his family dynamics.
Additionally, he filmed a sit-down tell-all interview about his family and participated in a televised therapy session where he described his childhood as traumatic and criticized his father.
Furthermore, he embarked on a media tour to promote his book, sharing more secrets and backpedaling on previous allegations.
Throughout all of this, he maintains that he loves his brother and father, despite trashing them in his book.
Prince Harry’s anger towards Prince William stems from the latter’s decision to settle out of court, following the advice of his solicitors, in order to avoid further public scrutiny.
Prince Harry portrays the settlement as a colossal amount, ranging from $10-50 million, when in reality, it was £1 million.
It is worth noting that NGN settled 22 other lawsuits in a similar manner.
This raises the question of whether Prince Harry will also name other celebrities, such as Jude Law and Hugh Grant, who have received settlements from NGN.
Meanwhile, Royal reporter Cameron Walker has confirmed that the entirety of Prince William’s settlement went to charity.
Not a mere 5% like Prince Harry’s pledge, but 100%.
Prince William put an end to the phone hacking scandal and generously donated his entire settlement money to Prince Harry’s charity, Invictus.
In fact, back in 2020, Prince William and Catherine made a multi-million dollar donation to Prince Harry and Meghan’s Invictus Games Foundation.
The Royal Foundation, associated with the Cambridges, transferred $1.1 million to support injured veterans through the charity founded by Prince Harry.
Interestingly, Rupert Murdoch, who owns HarperCollins, the publisher of “Finding Freedom” by Omid Scobie, shares a connection with Prince Harry and Meghan.
They are friends with James and Catherine Murdoch, despite the fact that James’ lavish lifestyle, exceptional education, career, and reputation were built on the money made by printing stories about Princess Diana.
Prince Harry and James crossed paths at the Nepo Baby Summer Camp in 2019, where they instantly felt a kinship.
For those unfamiliar with James Murdoch, he is the second-born son of a powerful dynasty.
After struggling academically, his family attempted to find him a suitable role, but none seemed to fit the bill.
Following a falling out with his family due to his inability to have things his way, James launched a series of unsuccessful business ventures and currently serves on the board of a tech company in Silicon Valley.
