In a surprising turn of events, Prince Harry has accused Queen Camilla of engaging in a media exchange to salvage her reputation, after being portrayed as a villain for many years.
This revelation comes from world commentator and photographer, Arthur Edwards, who claims that King Charles has taken action against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in response to the Duke of Sussex’s scathing attacks on Queen Camilla.
According to Edwards, the King’s decision to revoke the couple’s privilege of residing in Frogmore Cottage was a direct consequence of their criticism of the Queen Consort.
In an opinion piece for The Sun, Edwards expressed his satisfaction with the King’s response, stating, “Finally, the King has retaliated against Harry and Meghan for their vicious attacks on his beloved wife and Prince William.”
He further explained that the revocation of Frogmore Cottage, which was given to them as a perk of their royal duties, serves as a clear consequence for their actions.
The news of the Duke and Duchess being asked to vacate their official residence in England broke on Wednesday, leaving the Sussexes stunned.
World biographer Omit Scobie revealed that this decision was communicated to them shortly after the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare, in January.
In both the book and subsequent interviews, Harry alleged that Camilla was willing to trade information with the press in order to improve her public image.
During an interview with U.S. journalist Anderson Cooper, Harry emphasized the danger posed by Camilla’s need to rehabilitate her image as she prepares to become Queen Consort.
He suggested that there was an open willingness on both sides to exchange information, warning that people could suffer as a result.
These comments seem to have been the final straw for King Charles, who could not tolerate attacks on his wife any longer.
Thus, Frogmore Cottage, their former residence, has now been taken away as a consequence of their actions.
The decision to strip the couple of their official residence has shocked many, but Edwards believes it was justified.
He asserts that Harry and Meghan cannot expect to enjoy the perks of their royal roles if they are not fulfilling their duties.
“If they’re not doing their job, they should not expect to keep the perks,” wrote Edwards.
Tensions between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family have been high ever since they announced their intention to step back from their senior roles in 2020.
Their subsequent move to the United States has only increased the distance between them and their former royal duties.
It remains to be seen how the couple will respond to the loss of Frogmore Cottage, but one thing is clear: their attacks on Queen Camilla have not gone unnoticed by the royal family.
King Charles has taken action to protect his wife, and the consequences of the Sussexes’ actions are now being felt.
