In a recent development, there are growing concerns that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be stripped of their royal titles by King Charles.
The speculation arises as the Duke of Sussex prepares to release his memoir titled “Spare: Make or Break,” which has been described as potentially damaging to the royal family.
Royal biographer Tom Bauer shared his thoughts on the matter, stating that King Charles may have been warned about potential retaliation if he takes any action against the couple.
While the King does have the power to withhold titles from his grandchildren, including Archie and Lilibet, it would require a drastic measure to strip Harry and Meghan of their titles entirely.
The alternative, according to Bauer, is for the royal family to sever ties with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Although they retained their full titles after stepping down as working royals, they are no longer permitted to use them in an official capacity.
To officially remove Harry’s Dukedom, Charles would need an act of Parliament.
Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan’s children, Lilibet and Archie, are eligible for the HRH style and the titles of Prince and Princess following Charles’s ascension to the throne.
However, it remains unclear whether the monarch intends to grant these titles to his California-based grandchildren.
Royal author Katie Nicole suggests that Charles might wait until the publication of Harry’s memoir on January 10th before making a final decision.
In an effort to defuse tensions between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family, King Charles is reportedly considering an appropriate response if Harry and Meghan attempt to damage the institution.
The new monarch, aged 73, has allegedly issued various warnings to the couple, stating that they will face ostracization if they cause significant harm to the royal family.
Tom Bauer, author of “Revenge Meghan Harry: The War Between the Windsors,” believes that it is unlikely for Harry and Meghan’s children to receive titles if they proceed with slandering the royal family in their memoir.
Bauer suggests that the book may contain damaging material about Charles, William, Kate, and Camilla, as well as implications that Lilibet and Archie have been estranged from their royal cousins and have not been able to enjoy the privileges of royal life.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be concerned about the possibility of King Charles stripping them of their Sussex title if they misbehave.
The situation remains uncertain, and it is unclear how King Charles truly feels about “Megxit” and the ongoing drama involving the Sussexes.
Will he finally put an end to this contentious saga?
Only time will tell.
