Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly returned to Los Angeles from London Heathrow on September 20th after spending over two weeks in the UK.
It is believed that the couple left feeling frustrated and upset due to what they perceive as a lack of sympathy from members of the royal family.
Despite their stay in the UK following the death of Queen Elizabeth, it is said that no peace deal was reached between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the royal family.
Gayle King, a close friend of Meghan Markle, revealed that efforts were made by both sides to reconcile their differences.
However, she made it clear that no agreement had been reached with King or Prince William, Harry’s brother, following the major rift that occurred when the Sussexes stepped back as senior members of the royal family and relocated to the United States.
Speaking on the American TV program Extra, King pondered whether this situation would bring the family closer together or push them further apart, acknowledging that all families experience drama and turmoil.
During their time in the UK, Meghan and Harry stayed at Frogmore Cottage, located just a few hundred yards away from Prince and Princess of Wales’ Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate.
Sources close to the couple have stated that they did their best to fulfill their obligations, attending events, and maintaining a friendly demeanor.
However, insiders have speculated that Prince William is cautious about having open conversations with his brother, fearing that their discussions may find their way into Harry’s upcoming memoir.
Despite being invited by Prince William and Kate Middleton to join them in greeting mourners for the late Queen, there remains a noticeable distance between the two couples.
Another palace source revealed that Harry and Meghan’s return to California will allow them to reunite with their children, Archie and Lilibet, who did not accompany them to England during the mourning period.
Prior to their departure, journalist Christina Garibaldi shared in a YouTube video that an insider had informed US Weekly about the couple’s longing to be with their children again.
Garibaldi stated, “The source tells us Meghan and Harry are preparing to return to Montecito almost immediately after the Queen’s funeral.”
It is evident that the couple has been missing Archie and Lilibet and eagerly anticipates their reunion.
During the funeral of Queen Elizabeth, Tom Bauer observed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared visibly angry.
Bauer believes that their frustration stemmed from the perceived lack of respect they feel they deserve from the rest of the royal family.
