Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their way to Jamaica on Tuesday to attend the premiere of the highly anticipated new Bob Marley film.
While the couple enjoyed their time in the Caribbean, back in Britain, Prince Harry’s father was preparing for prostate surgery, and his sister-in-law was recovering from serious abdominal surgery in the hospital.
The royal couple arrived at the Caribbe Theatre in Kingston, exuding elegance and style.
Meghan wore a stunning full-skirted flowing black gown, while Harry donned a suit and open-necked shirt.
As they made their entrance, they took a moment to pose for photos with Brian Robbins, the president and CEO of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon, along with his wife Tracey James.
However, despite their previous collaborations with Spotify and Netflix, the Paramount CEO and his wife seemed less than thrilled to have Harry and Meghan join them in the photo.
Tracey James, in particular, appeared noticeably annoyed by what she perceived as an intrusion by the Sussexes.
The couple found themselves pushed to the side, unable to find a comfortable place in the frame.
It was clear to those observing that Harry and Meghan were attempting to make the moment about themselves, but the CEO and his wife remained unresponsive.
Tracey James did not adjust her position to allow the couple to be centered in the photo, leaving them in an awkward and off-center pose.
It is worth noting that most people caught in pictures with the couple do not actually know them but are simply too polite to refuse them.
However, this particular couple made a swift exit after the photo was taken, indicating their discomfort with the situation.
This incident adds to a series of interactions where the Sussexes have sought connections with influential figures.
At the Golden Globes, the Netflix CEO laughed at their jokes, and Prince Harry networked with the Amazon CEO.
Now, in Jamaica, they are attempting to establish ties with yet another network CEO.
It appears that they are aware of their declining standing with Netflix and are actively seeking new opportunities.
During the premiere, Prince Harry also took the opportunity to have photos taken with Andrew Holness, the Prime Minister of Jamaica, and his wife Juliet Holness.
Notably, Holness has expressed Jamaica’s intention to move away from the British monarchy, following in the footsteps of Barbados.
In addition, Harry was seen sharing a warm embrace with Ziggy Marley, the 55-year-old musician and son of Bob and Rita Marley, who produced the film “One Love.”
The reason behind Harry and Meghan’s presence at the event remains unclear.
However, it is worth mentioning that the film showcases British talent, with Londoners Kingsley Ben-Edir portraying Bob Marley, Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley, and James Norton playing producer Chris Blackwell.
