Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no intention of relinquishing ownership of Frogmore Cottage, according to recent reports.
Speculation arose last week that King Charles had requested the couple to vacate the premises by June, allegedly in response to their shocking allegations against him and the rest of the royal family.
Sources claimed that the monarch did not provide any alternative accommodation options for the Sussexes during their visits to the United Kingdom.
Adding insult to injury, rumors circulated that he offered the property to Prince Andrew after Prince Harry and Markle’s departure.
However, a source close to the couple has revealed to Woman’s Day that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are determined to stand their ground.
They have already sought legal advice on the matter, considering that Frogmore Cottage was gifted to them by the late Queen.
The couple has previously shown their willingness to pursue legal action when necessary, and they will now examine the legality of this eviction.
The source pointed out that they signed a long lease and invested their own money into renovations, further complicating the situation.
Meanwhile, OK magazine reports that Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have recently moved into Frogmore Cottage.
Jack has been offered a promotion at the US-based firm Discoveryland Company, which will require him to spend more time in America.
However, as Eugenie is expecting their second child, she is determined to give birth in the UK and raise her children in England.
Frogmore Cottage, therefore, serves as the perfect base for their plans.
Although the Sussexes are disappointed by this turn of events, they are pleased that Eugenie and Jack will be taking over the property.
The source added that Eugenie and Jack have been sporadically staying at Frogmore Cottage for the past few years and even visited Harry and Meghan in California last month, taking some personal belongings with them and helping to pack up items for shipment to their new home.
Furthermore, a new report suggests that King Charles had no choice but to evict Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage due to their alleged disgraceful behavior following the release of the Netflix docuseries.
Royal expert and author Tom Bauer claims that the couple provoked the King with Harry’s controversial book and subsequent interviews.
Bauer expressed his lack of surprise regarding King Charles’ decision, stating that he expected the British press to catch on sooner.
In an interview with Page Six, Bauer said, “Harry and Meghan provoked King Charles with Harry’s disgraceful book and the interviews that he gave.
I mean, what did he expect?
Harry wanted the royal family to come on, bend a knee begging for forgiveness, and he’s completely crossed the spectrum.
He’s in the mad wilderness of deranged victimhood.”
Despite Harry’s claims of having more damaging information, which he has chosen not to disclose at this time, it remains unclear whether the couple will purchase another property in the UK.
For now, they have until the summer to pack up their belongings and bid farewell to the place they once called home.
