Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been deemed “too toxic” to be associated with in public, according to a world expert.
The royal couple’s absence from Oprah’s birthday party last week has sparked speculation about how they are perceived by Hollywood A-listers, including Oprah herself.
Sarah Hewson, TalkTV’s royal editor, has raised concerns about whether the couple is seen as too negative to be seen with other high-profile individuals.
During an interview on Sky News Australia, Hewson noted that it was believed the couple had a significant number of celebrities supporting them.
Given Oprah’s strong support for Meghan and Harry, it was expected that at least the Duchess of Sussex would have been invited to the star-studded event alongside other influential women in the entertainment industry.
However, both Meghan and Harry were absent, prompting questions about their reputation.
Hewson suggested that the couple’s absence could be due to them being viewed as too toxic to be associated with in public.
However, she also speculated that behind closed doors, celebrities may still want to associate themselves with the couple.
Notable guests at the birthday party included Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez, who shared photos from the night on their social media platforms.
This perceived snub comes two years after Meghan and Harry’s bombshell televised interview with a TV personality.
In March 2021, the couple participated in one of the most controversial interviews to date.
Meghan revealed that an unnamed member of the royal family, excluding the late Queen or Prince Philip, expressed concerns about the skin color of their unborn son, Archie.
Despite their absence from Oprah’s birthday party, Meghan and Harry were present at Ellen DeGeneres and Portia D. Rossi’s vow renewal ceremony.
Clips confirming their attendance surfaced on Ellen’s YouTube channel.
This marked their first public appearance since Harry’s book, titled “Spare,” was released last month.
Despite accompanying interviews for the book’s release, Harry has maintained a low public profile.
Released on January 10th, “Spare” quickly became the fastest-selling non-fiction book in the UK.
The couple’s actions and appearances have been closely scrutinized, leading to speculation about Meghan’s intentions and whether she plans to betray the royal family again during the coronation.
