In a recent court hearing, Prince Harry expressed his belief that the media played a significant role in the demise of his relationship with Chelsea Davy.
However, GB News presenter Mark Dolan has a different perspective, suggesting that Harry’s own behavior may be to blame.
The Duke of Sussex claimed that the press coverage of their breakup was hurtful and seemed to celebrate their split.
He also stated that he always felt their relationship was doomed.
Harry specifically referred to a story from November 2007 published in the Irish edition of the Sunday Mirror.
The article reported details about their relationship, including a supposed secret meeting where Harry allegedly begged Chelsea for a second chance.
According to Harry, these types of articles made him feel as though their relationship was destined to fail from the start.
Contrary to Harry’s claims, Mark Dolan believes that the Duke’s own actions may have contributed to the relationship’s downfall.
Speaking on GB News’ To The Point, Dolan remarked, “The world’s least happy millionaire is moaning about his life again.
He’s blaming the media for his relationship not working out.
I think the relationship didn’t work because he’s just an annoying person to be around.”
Prince Harry and Chelsea Davy first broke up in early 2009 but later rekindled their romance.
Although they eventually ended their relationship again, they have remained friends.
In fact, Chelsea attended Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.
Harry mentioned the 2007 story with the headline “Hooray, Harry’s been dumped,” expressing his disappointment with the perceived celebration of his breakup.
He described it as “a little bit mean.”
Dolan criticized Harry for bringing up people from his past who may not wish to be involved in his legal battles.
Dolan specifically mentioned Harry’s former military comrades, who were dragged into the court hearing when Harry boasted about the number of people he had killed.
Dolan suggested that Harry’s exes, including Chelsea, must be rolling their eyes at his actions.
Chelsea Davy has since moved on and married Sam Cutmore-Scott, who was in the year above Harry at Eton College.
The couple welcomed their first child, Leo, in January 2022.
Their son’s arrival remained a well-kept secret until three months later when he was introduced to their local parish council in Norfolk.
It seems that even many of Chelsea’s closest friends were unaware of her pregnancy during lockdown.
Recently, it was leaked that Sam Cutmore-Scott intends to sue Prince Harry for involving his wife in the legal proceedings.
Chelsea now leads a happy and private life with her husband and son, and delving into the past could potentially damage her newfound peace.
During the trial, Chelsea’s husband strongly refuted Harry’s claims and placed the blame squarely on the Prince.
Sam reportedly described Harry as arrogant and controlling, asserting that he was not the right man for Chelsea.
Sam is a director of his parents’ hospitality company, The Bijou Collection, which owns several exclusive wedding venues in the UK and France.
The couple currently resides in Chiswick, West London.
Meanwhile, GB News host Dan Wooten and American journalist Megyn Kelly have raised concerns about Prince Harry’s continued focus on his ex-girlfriend, Chelsea Davy.
Kelly suggested that if she were in Meghan’s position, she would be questioning Harry’s intentions, as it appears he still holds strong feelings for Chelsea.
These comments have sparked speculation about the dynamics within Harry and Meghan’s relationship.
As the court case continues, it remains to be seen whether the media truly played a detrimental role in Prince Harry and Chelsea Davy’s breakup.
While Harry believes the press coverage contributed to their relationship’s demise, others argue that his own actions and personality may have had a more significant impact.
Regardless, it is evident that both individuals have moved on and found happiness in their respective lives.
