Prince Harry, also known as the Duke of Sussex, has recently decided to make a significant change by shifting his primary residence to the United States.
According to royal author Angela Levin, this decision comes as a result of his growing discontent and anger towards the United Kingdom.
Notably, official company records indicate that the Duke of Sussex no longer resides in the UK, marking a pivotal moment in his relationship with his home country.
Levin revealed during an interview with GB News that on the same day Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex departed from Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, the Duke altered his country of residence.
This move signifies a shift in the royal’s ties and responsibilities to Britain, with Levin emphasizing that his connections to the UK are dwindling rapidly.
The Duchess had reportedly completed the necessary paperwork last year, which was only made public recently.
The couple had been leasing Frogmore Cottage from the Queen, but due to their infrequent presence, the Queen considered allocating the residence to Prince Andrew instead.
Despite Prince Andrew not being employed by the Duke previously, he now holds a role in his service since their relocation to California.
Levin highlighted Prince Harry’s feelings of resentment and mistreatment by the UK, particularly regarding changes in his security arrangements.
Levin suggested that Prince Harry’s decision to move to the US may alleviate his annual distress over British media scrutiny.
However, this choice could potentially impact his role as a councillor of state, a position that requires a UK residence.
As he no longer owns a property in the UK, concerns about him fulfilling certain royal duties in the future have been dispelled.
Moreover, Levin pointed out that as a non-UK citizen, Prince Harry may face challenges in receiving adequate protection upon his arrival in the US.
This could complicate security measures for him, making it harder for law enforcement to ensure his safety.
The Duke expressed apprehensions about relocating his family due to security concerns, underscoring the gravity of his decision to establish roots in California.
When asked if this move signifies Prince Harry’s acceptance of his new Californian identity, Levin dismissed the notion, citing the Duke’s lingering frustrations and sense of injustice towards his British roots.
Despite his current circumstances, Prince Harry’s deep connection to London and his English heritage remains evident through his past statements expressing love for his homeland.
It appears that while he may feel compelled to embrace his new reality, a sense of unease and discontent lingers within him, reflecting a complex emotional journey for the Duke.
