In a shocking turn of events, Nacho Figueras, a close friend of Prince Harry, suffered a fall from his horse during a polo match in Australia.
The incident took place at the Pacific Fair Magic Millions polo and show jumping show, where Figueras, a 46-year-old Argentinian model, lost his balance while attempting to strike the ball.
As spectators watched in concern, Figueras found himself hanging onto his horse’s neck as it galloped across the field.
Holding onto the reins and his mallet, he managed to regain control and climb back into the saddle, bravely finishing the game.
Figueras had accompanied his wife, Delfina Blackear, 43, to the event on Australia’s Gold Coast.
Despite the mishap, Blackear maintained her composure throughout the match, sporting a vibrant pink helmet.
The friendship between Figueras and Prince Harry is believed to have originated in 2007, with the two often seen playing polo together over the years.
Figueras has publicly expressed his support for Harry and Meghan, mentioning them in various interviews.
Regarded as the David Beckham of polo, Figueras even made an appearance in the Netflix docuseries “Harry and Meghan.”
In a previous interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he declared that he would go to great lengths to defend his friends, having attended their wedding in 2018.
Speaking to Town and Country magazine, Figueras shared his admiration for Prince Harry’s authenticity and genuine dedication to improving the lives of underprivileged children.
It is this aspect of Harry’s character that resonates with Figueras the most, as he appreciates the prince’s sincere efforts to make a positive impact in the world.
