The fallout from Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir, Spare, continues to reverberate within the British Royal Family.
A royal writer has claimed that the Duke of Sussex committed an unforgivable sin, making it easier for fathers to abandon their sons.
The damage has already been done, and it seems that Prince Charles is not willing to forgive easily.
Christopher Anderson, author of The King, The Life of Charles III, expressed his lack of surprise at Prince Harry’s absence from what would have been King Charles’ 75th birthday celebration.
Anderson believes that Charles could easily turn on Harry for committing this unforgivable sin, referring to the Duke’s portrayal of Camilla as “evil” in his book.
It seems that the relationship between father and son is strained, to say the least.
On November 14, King Charles marked his 75th birthday, and there was much speculation about whether Prince Harry would attend the festivities.
However, a spokesman for the Duke stated that there was no information regarding an invitation to the upcoming birthday party.
Anderson suggests that Prince Harry’s memoir has strained his relationship not only with his father but also with the monarchy itself.
Despite any potential damage caused by the revelations, King Charles remains steadfastly devoted to Queen Camilla.
Prince Harry’s memoir, published in January 2023, also accused Camilla of leaking private conversations to discredit him.
In the book, he revealed that both he and his older brother, Prince William, had pleaded with their father not to marry Camilla out of fear that she would become a bad stepmother.
These revelations have further deepened the rift between Harry and the rest of the royal family.
The royal writer emphasized that the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan were not invited to the royal family’s 75th anniversary celebrations speaks volumes about the incompatibility between the Sussexes and the Windsors.
It seems that bridges have been burned, and there may be no going back.
