Prince Louis, the youngest child of Princess Catherine and Prince William, had a cheeky moment at the 3rd Annual Christmas Carol Concert at Westminster Abbey.
The event marked his debut at the holiday gathering, and just like his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the 5-year-old joined the congregation in holding lit candles for the end of the service.
However, it was his mischievous act that caught everyone’s attention.
As the family exited the concert, a photo captured Prince Louis leaning over with puffed cheeks to blow out Princess Charlotte’s candle.
In the background, Princess Catherine appeared to catch her youngest son in the act.
The adorable moment was shared on social media by Prince William and Princess Kate’s team.
Unlike most members of the congregation who held both a candle and a program, Prince Louis focused solely on his candle.
This is not the first time he has stolen the spotlight at a royal event.
Back in May 2023, a photo of him yawning during his grandfather King Charles’ coronation went viral.
In June 2022, during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, another photo circulated of Prince Louis covering his ears and yelling as Royal Air Force planes flew overhead while he stood on the Buckingham Palace balcony with the rest of the royals.
Prince Louis’ playful antics during the Platinum Jubilee pageant also gained attention, prompting a response from his parents.
Kate and William acknowledged their son’s behavior by sharing a social media post that read, “We all had an incredible time, especially Louis.
Louis is a cheeky monkey, a typical third child.”
It seems that Prince Louis knows how to enjoy himself and make his presence known.
The Christmas Carol concert held special significance for Princess Kate, as her entire family was present to support her in hosting the event for the third year in a row.
In 2021, she started the tradition and was joined by Prince George and Princess Charlotte last year.
Before entering Westminster Abbey, the three children had an important task to fulfill – mailing special letters.
They were encouraged to send Christmas cards and best wishes to other children who may be facing difficulties this year.
The trio made their way to a red mailbox outside the venue and dropped their letters inside before joining their parents for the concert.
According to royal reporter Rebecca English, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis all wrote their own cards, showcasing their individuality and thoughtfulness.
It is heartwarming to see the young royals actively participating in spreading joy and kindness during the holiday season.
