In a recent Thanksgiving ceremony honoring the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, body language expert Judy James claims that the ongoing feud between Prince William and Prince Harry was laid bare.
This event marked the Duke and Duchess’ first appearance alongside the rest of the royal family since their move to the U.S.
According to James, as Prince William walked past his brother’s row on the way out of the service, he made a barrier gesture.
Pulling in his lips and lifting his chin in a display of determination, he briefly turned his head in the opposite direction while holding the order of service high, creating a barrier between them.
During the ceremony, the brothers were seated far apart from each other, accompanied by their respective wives, Meghan and Kate, Princess of Wales.
James observed that there was no acknowledgement from William as he passed his brother’s row.
Speculation about the rift between the two brothers has been rife in recent years, particularly following Harry’s decision to step back from royal duties in 2020.
In a revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, Harry openly discussed his strained relationship with William, stating that they had gone through difficult times together but were now on separate paths.
The interview generated significant media attention and led Buckingham Palace to release a statement on behalf of the Queen, expressing sadness over the issues raised while emphasizing that regulations may vary.
Since then, both brothers have made few public appearances, leaving uncertainty regarding whether or when they will reconcile.
The alleged feud has sparked intense debate, with some attributing it to differing views on the role of the royal family in modern society, while others speculate personal issues between the two brothers.
Despite these rumors, both William and Harry have continued their royal duties and charitable work.
William, in particular, has taken on increasingly prominent roles as he prepares for his future role as king.
Only time will reveal whether the brothers can set aside their differences and reconcile or if they will continue on separate paths.
The question remains: Does the royal family have a place in modern society, or are they outdated?
