The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, commemorated Father’s Day in a special way as he participated in a half-marathon event on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate alongside his two eldest children.
Today, the Prince, who will be turning 39 tomorrow, was joined by Prince George and Princess Charlotte at the start of the race in Sandringham, Norfolk.
Sporting a casual yet stylish ensemble consisting of a pale blue shirt and navy chinos, the proud father addressed the runners before handing the microphone to his children.
Together, they counted down the start of the race, creating an exciting atmosphere for all participants.
As enthusiastic competitors passed by, the royal trio waved and cheered them on during the initial 13.1-mile circuit.
Despite recent reports of tension within the royal family, Prince William appeared relaxed and cheerful throughout the event.
Speculation arose about a heated argument between the Prince and his brother, Prince Harry, resulting in Prince Harry’s removal from their shared household at Kensington Palace.
Historian and biographer Robert Lacey has detailed this clash in his book, “Battle of Brothers,” which is currently being serialized in The Times.
Prince George, following in his father’s footsteps, showcased his own sense of style, donning a pair of smart blue chino shorts, a check shirt, and navy Nike trainers.
Princess Charlotte, on the other hand, sported denim shorts paired with vibrant pink Nike trainers.
Completing her look, she wore a baby pink Ralph Lauren jumper and styled her long hair in a half-updo, with two plaits merging into a small ponytail.
As the event concluded, Prince William affectionately held his eldest son’s hand while being led away by a steward.
Notably absent from the photographs were the Duchess of Cambridge and their youngest son, Prince Louis.
Earlier today, the Cambridges shared a heartfelt video collage to mark Father’s Day, the first since the passing of Prince Philip on April 9 at the age of 99.
Among the photos included was a charming snapshot from 1990, capturing a young Prince William with his father and Prince Harry lounging on the grass.
Prince Charles wore a kilt paired with a matching burgundy jumper while the boys embraced him.
Another touching image depicted Kate Middleton with her father, Michael Middleton, on her wedding day in 2011.
