Princess Anne marked her husband’s birthday by dedicating her time to work during a royal tour in Dubai.
The Princess Royal was called away from her royal duties to participate in the Seafarers Orientation and Awareness Day in Jebel Ali, making the occasion extra special for Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence on his 69th birthday.
As the president of the Seafarers delegation, Princess Anne frequently engages in events worldwide to show her support for the charity.
A social media post by the Seafaring Mission highlighted Anne’s visit with the group and her tour of the bustling Jebel Ali port in the United Arab Emirates, known as the busiest port in the Middle East.
During her time in Dubai, Princess Anne also graced the Women in Transport and Trade Conference.
The conference shed light on the importance of enhancing mental health and well-being services for women at sea, as well as promoting diversity within the industry.
For this event, the princess opted for a stylish beige pantsuit paired with a brown and white striped shirt, complemented by a chic cream shoulder bag.
Princess Anne’s connection with the navy runs deep, as she holds the esteemed position of admiral of the women’s commander in the royal fleet, alongside being the main commander in Portsmouth.
Her second husband, Lawrence, serves as the commander of the royal fleet, and their paths first crossed during his service on the royal yacht of the United Kingdom.
The couple’s intimate bond led them to exchange vows in December 1992 at Krathikirk, near Balmoral, in an intimate ceremony attended by only 30 guests.
Lawrence often accompanies Princess Anne on official public engagements, showcasing their strong partnership.
Earlier this year, the duo embarked on a memorable three-day trip to Sri Lanka, where they visited the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and were bestowed with a precious gift by the guardians.
In a candid moment on ITV’s Anne in 2020, Lawrence shared insights into their relationship, emphasizing their shared interests in cards and maps.
He humorously reflected on Anne’s previous marriages, quipping about her unions with both an army officer and a naval officer, hinting at a unique affinity towards military personnel.
The couple’s enduring companionship and mutual admiration continue to captivate audiences, underscoring their unwavering bond and shared experiences.
