Princess Anne has returned to her official duties following the conclusion of the period of mourning for the late Queen.
The Princess Royal, who serves as the President of the Riding for the Disabled Association, made a comeback in Scotland with a series of engagements.
Among her activities was attending the 40th anniversary charity race at the Cloyd Special Riding Centre in Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, where she was warmly welcomed by His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Cloyd.
Later that evening, the 72-year-old princess hosted a dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in honor of the Royal Celtic Society’s 200th anniversary.
These engagements mark Princess Anne’s return to public life just over a week after bidding a final farewell to Queen Elizabeth Ewing at her state funeral.
The monarch passed away on Thursday, September 8th, at Boutwurl in Scotland, surrounded by her immediate family.
Princess Anne, the Queen’s sole daughter, accompanied the coffin during its journey back to Buckingham Palace.
Prior to the funeral, Anne released a poignant statement expressing gratitude for the support and love shown during this challenging time.
She acknowledged the honor of being part of the Queen’s final journeys and thanked everyone who shared in their sense of loss.
Currently holding the position of 17th in line to the British throne, Princess Anne has held the title of Princess Royal since 1987.
