Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edo, have joyfully announced the arrival of their baby daughter, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli-Mozzi.
Born at 11:42 pm on Saturday at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Sienna weighed a healthy 6lbs 2oz.
This is Princess Beatrice’s first child, while Edo is already a proud father to his son, Wolfie, whom the princess lovingly refers to as her “bonus son.”
The couple chose to unveil their daughter’s name through the royal family’s social media platforms, sharing a heartwarming photo of Sienna’s tiny footprint accompanied by her name beautifully written in elegant handwriting.
Sienna’s middle name, Elizabeth, pays tribute to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and is shared with her second cousin, Princess Charlotte.
The official caption on the social media post reads, “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Eduardo Mapelli-Mozzi have named their daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli-Mozzi.”
Additionally, the new parents expressed their happiness and shared, “We are all doing well, and Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna.”
Edo also took to his personal Instagram account to share the same picture, accompanied by a heartfelt message expressing his love and gratitude for his wife, baby Sienna, and Wolfie.
He wrote, “Our life together has just begun, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things that await us.
These are the days I never want to forget.”
In the days leading up to the announcement, bookmakers had Florence as the favored name, with William Hill offering odds of nine halves.
Other popular choices included Francesca, Matilda, Arabella, and Giovanna.
However, the couple ultimately decided on Sienna Elizabeth for their precious daughter.
Despite being 11th in line to the throne, Sienna will not hold the title of Her Royal Highness.
