Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have no interest in working within King Charles’s monarchy, according to a royal commentator who exclusively spoke to GB News.
The York princesses are currently content with the lives they lead, as revealed by a royal author.
They are the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson and are not currently active members of the royal family.
With King Charles, 75, and the Princess of Wales, 42, receiving medical treatment at the London Clinic, there is a shortage of royals available to carry out official duties.
Prince William, 41, has announced that he will reduce his engagements while his wife recovers from her operation.
Additionally, Prince Andrew, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry stepped down from their working royal roles over four years ago.
Consequently, only Princess Anne, Queen Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Kents, and the Gloucesters are currently fulfilling royal engagements.
Given the circumstances, some experts suggest that the King should involve the York princesses as working royals temporarily to fill the gaps.
However, royal author Victoria Arbiter, in an exclusive interview with GB News, explained why she believes this is unlikely.
Despite being the only blood-borne princesses of their generation, neither Beatrice nor Eugenie has expressed any desire to take on additional responsibilities.
Furthermore, King Charles aims to maintain a cost-effective and streamlined monarchy.
Arbiter elaborated on the limitations of the current slimmed-down monarchy, especially with the ongoing health concerns within the royal family.
She acknowledged that the current situation highlights the risks associated with having a smaller pool of senior working royals.
Nevertheless, she reassured that this is only temporary, as both the King and the Princess of Wales intend to resume their duties as soon as possible.
While Beatrice and Eugenie are willing to support the family behind the scenes, they prefer not to carry the added burden of a full schedule of royal engagements.
They are content with their current roles and enjoy the freedom that comes with it.
As the only blood-related princesses of their generation, it would be admirable to witness them taking on more responsibilities.
However, their lack of interest in doing so aligns with the King’s vision for a leaner monarchy.
