The Princess of Wales, Catherine, has consistently honored the memory of the late Queen Elizabeth II through her choice of jewelry since the Queen’s passing last September at the age of 96.
It comes as no surprise then that Princess Catherine made sure to pay tribute to the Queen in a subtle yet beautiful way during her second annual Christmas Carol concert at Westminster Abbey.
The stunning Christmas trees, sourced from the Windsor Great Park and generously donated by His Majesty the King, were adorned with Paddington Bears and Paddington Bear Bubbles.
This choice holds special significance as the late Queen Elizabeth II had become associated with Paddington Bear, another beloved British national treasure.
The two had even appeared together in a delightful comedy video during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
Following the Queen’s passing, over 1,000 Paddington Bears and other teddy bears were left outside Buckingham Palace as a heartfelt tribute.
In October, it was announced that these bears would be professionally cleaned and then delivered to Barnados, a children’s charity.
Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, fulfilled this promise by hosting a teddy bear’s picnic for vulnerable children and donating the bears to the charity.
She expressed her pleasure in finding new homes for these cherished toys and urged the children to take good care of them.
Prince Harry himself admitted to being deeply moved by the sight of the Paddington Bear tributes.
On the one-year anniversary of the Queen’s passing, he ensured there was a clear reference to the late monarch by wearing a sentimental piece of heirloom jewelry.
During a church service at St David’s Cathedral in Pembrokeshire, Wales, Princess Catherine chose to wear the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Diamond and Pearl Earrings.
This pair of earrings had been worn by the Princess on several occasions in the week following the Queen’s death, including while greeting well-wishers in Sandringham.
While the Royal Family had observed a period of official mourning, with members wearing black attire, Princess Catherine opted for a burgundy coat dress from Eponine, London, for the memorial service.
She completed her look with a matching fascinator, pumps, and a Mulberry clutch bag.
Given the significance of the occasion, it was fitting for the Princess to rely on a tried-and-tested formula.
In addition to their personal tribute, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a series of photographs of the Queen on their social media accounts to mark the occasion.
Accompanied by the message, “Today, we remember the extraordinary life and legacy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
We all miss you, W and C,” the photos serve as a touching homage to the late monarch.
Kensington Palace also released a black-and-white image featuring Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis sitting together on a bench, smiling.
Charlotte, positioned in the middle, lovingly wraps her arms around her brothers.
This photograph captures the joy and unity within the royal family.
For their Christmas card, the Prince and Princess of Wales opted for another black-and-white image.
In this photo, they are joined by their three children, all dressed in white shirts and black trousers and shoes.
Catherine stands between her husband and eldest son, while Louis stands in front of William, who places his hand on his shoulder.
Charlotte sits on a chair in front of her mother, beaming at the camera.
The photo was taken by photographer Josh Schinner earlier this year in Windsor.
A statement issued on behalf of Catherine and William expressed their delight in sharing a new photograph of their family.
The image, featured on their Christmas card, serves as a heartfelt reminder of the love and bond they share with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
