The Princess of Wales, Princess Catherine, is set to host her annual Christmas Carol service, dedicated to honoring individuals who support young children and families.
The event, which has become a tradition for the princess, will be attended by members of the royal family, including the King and Queen.
Last year, the princess’s husband, Prince William, and their two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, also joined the congregation.
In a heartwarming announcement, a photo was released showing Princess Catherine decorating a Christmas tree while wearing a £179 Fair Isle jumper from Holland Cooper Jumper.
This same jumper was worn by the princess during her appearance on CBeebies last year, where she read a bedtime story.
The festive event will take place at Westminster Abbey on December 8 and will be broadcast on ITV1 on Christmas Eve.
A lineup of talented performers, including singers Beverly Knight, Adam Lambert, and James Bay, as well as multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier and performer Freya Ridings, will entertain guests at the service.
The Westminster Abbey Choir will also perform beloved carols, combining traditional and modern elements to embrace people of all faiths and backgrounds.
This year’s service will reflect Princess Catherine’s Early Years Shaping Us campaign, which was launched in January.
The campaign aims to emphasize the importance of a child’s formative years.
The Christmas Carol service will serve as a moment to express gratitude to all those who work tirelessly to support babies, young children, and families across communities in the UK.
Guests attending the service have been nominated by Lord Lieutenants from various regions and charities associated with members of the Royal Family.
Alongside professionals working in the early years sector, the event will also welcome individuals who may have faced challenges throughout the year.
This includes children and families, as well as those who may find the winter period particularly difficult.
It remains uncertain whether Prince Louis, who is now five years old, will attend the service.
Last year, he was considered too young to participate.
In addition to the Westminster Abbey service, 12 community carol services will be held across the UK.
These events will be hosted by Lord Lieutenants and supported by the Royal Foundation of Prince William and Princess Catherine.
