Princess Catherine, also known as Princess Kate, is gearing up to make a comeback to her royal responsibilities as details of her first official engagement have surfaced.
The Princess of Wales is slated to participate in a formal review leading up to the prestigious Trooping the Colour event in June.
Although Kensington Palace has yet to confirm the specifics, the ceremony is scheduled to unfold on June 8.
This occasion marks one of Princess Kate’s initial public appearances following her hiatus from royal duties following abdominal surgery earlier this year.
Since her medical procedure in January, Princess Catherine has been recuperating at her residence in Windsor and is anticipated to resume her duties post-Easter.
While there might be additional engagements on her calendar before the formal review and following her recovery period, this forthcoming event holds significance as the first one officially lined up, pending confirmation.
The upcoming ceremony is set to showcase a grand display featuring more than 1,400 soldiers from the Household Division and the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery.
Among them will be 400 musicians from the Mast Bands, all elegantly parading on horse guards for the second of two formal reviews.
Additionally, 250 soldiers from the Foot Guards will stand in formation along the Mall, adding to the ceremonial splendor.
During the event, Princess Kate, who holds the title of Colonel of the Irish Guards, will inspect the troops as part of her role.
This development comes as the future Queen was recently spotted in public for the first time since Christmas morning.
