Princess Eugene and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, could be the next members of the British royal family to make a move similar to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from the UK.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, the couple has been exploring the idea of relocating to California and have been sent details of homes close to Montecito, where the Sussexes currently reside.
The 32-year-old princess is said to be considering renting a home before potentially purchasing property in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles.
This potential move comes as Princess Eugene, who is expecting her second child, has spent time abroad in the past.
She lived in New York for two years between 2013 and 2015.
Currently, she and Jack split their time between Portugal and Windsor.
The decision to live in Portugal was reportedly influenced by Jack’s new job at Discovery Land Company, a real estate developer and operator of private companies and resorts owned by Mike Meldman.
With properties scattered across the US, the transition to living in the States could be relatively smooth for the couple.
Princess Eugene’s recent appearances in the US include a visit to Prince Harry and Meghan during the Super Bowl and a brief appearance in the Sussexes’ Netflix docu-series, “Harry and Meghan.”
In the documentary, Eugene is seen playing and laughing with the couple’s firstborn, Archie.
She was also mentioned positively in Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” where he recalled moments shared with Eugene, including a dinner prepared by Meghan at Nottingham Cottage.
The question arises whether this potential move is simply a coincidence or part of Meghan’s secret plan to undermine King Charles before his coronation.
