During the recent coronation, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales and wife of Prince William, reportedly displayed her anger towards Camilla, the stepmother-in-law, by refusing to curtsy to the new queen.
Renowned author Tom Bower suggested that this lack of curtsy was a clear sign of tension between the two women.
Analyzing the coronation footage, Bower observed that as the king and queen exited Westminster Abbey, everyone in attendance bowed and curtsied to the king.
However, when Camilla passed by, no one moved a muscle, clearly indicating their anger towards her.
This included Kate and William, who were also upset.
The tension was palpable among the small congregation near the throne at the center of Westminster Abbey, as it was evident that nobody, including Kate, curtsied to Queen Camilla.
Bower further alleged that Camilla’s presence at the coronation caused tensions to rise.
He claimed that she brought 20 Parker barrels, while there were four Middletons present.
The following day, during the Windsor Concert, William made no reference to Queen Camilla, which only added to the strained atmosphere.
The author suggested that these tensions have put King Charles in a precarious position, possibly leading to Camilla’s disappearance from the public eye.
Meanwhile, at the coronation, Kate, Prince William, and their two younger children, Prince Charlotte and Prince Louis, occupied the front row of the Abbey.
Their eldest child, Prince George, had the honor of serving as one of the King’s pages.
This news raises questions about the potential consequences of the rift between Kate and Camilla.
Could it pose a significant challenge for King Charles?
Will it result in another Megxit-like situation?
