Queen Camilla made a stunning entrance at Ascot Racecourse, dressed in her horse-racing finery that paid homage to the late Queen.
The 76-year-old looked radiant in a green court dress and hat as she arrived for the Kipko British Champions Day.
But it was her attention to detail that caught everyone’s eye, as she wore a diamond-studded jockey brooch on her left thigh.
The exquisite brooch was originally given to Queen Elizabeth on her 90th birthday and has now been passed on to Queen Camilla, who shares the late Queen’s passion for horse racing.
The brooch, commissioned by the Racing Post and crafted by Birmingham jewellers Alabaster and Wilson Ltd, symbolizes the transition from one Queen to another.
As Queen Camilla posed for a picture with renowned jockey Frankie de Tauri, her smile radiated joy.
She held her late mother-in-law close to her heart, quite literally, as she made her way to meet Mr. de Tauri and other racing officials at the racecourse.
This is not the first time Queen Camilla has paid tribute to the late Queen.
Just recently, she showcased one of the Queen’s cherished trunks during a banquet with King Charles.
The trunk holds sentimental value and serves as a reminder of the late Queen’s presence.
During her visit to London’s Mansion House with Prince Charles, Queen Camilla donned the Daughters of Great Britain and Ireland tiara.
This marked the first time she wore the tiara since Queen Elizabeth II’s passing in September 2022.
The tiara, presented to Queen Victoria Maria of Teck on her wedding day in 1893, holds historical significance and was fondly referred to as “Grandma’s Turban” by the late Queen.
The tiara, made of silver and gold diamonds, is adorned with 14 pearls and 13 brilliant-cut diamonds.
It is believed to have been worn by Queen Elizabeth II and has even appeared on some banknotes.
Queen Camilla becomes the third Queen to wear this remarkable piece, as it was passed down from Queen Mary to Queen Elizabeth II and now to Queen Camilla.
As Queen Camilla shimmered in her glittering Bruce Oldfield gown at the Mansion House, she and Prince Charles witnessed the presentation of the Sword of Pearls.
This tradition dates back to the 17th century when monarchs were presented with the sword during their coronation.
The Sword of Pearls, a gift from Queen Elizabeth I to the City of London in 1571, boasts approximately 2,500 pearls in its scabbard.
Queen Camilla’s appearance at Ascot Racecourse and the Mansion House showcased her elegance and respect for the late Queen.
Her choice of attire and accessories not only reflected her love for horse racing but also paid tribute to the legacy of Queen Elizabeth.
With each thoughtful detail, Queen Camilla continues to embrace her role as the new Queen and honor the memory of her predecessor.
