Queen Camilla visited Bath on Thursday to mark the 850th anniversary of St John’s Foundation, a charity that supports the elderly.
During her visit, a heartwarming interaction between the Queen and an elderly woman was captured on video, leaving many touched by her kindness.
St John’s Foundation, founded in 1174, has been dedicated to addressing poverty and poor living conditions in Bath.
In a quiet courtyard in the city center, where the charity houses some of its residents in care homes, Queen Camilla sat down with a group of individuals supported by the foundation for tea and cake.
It was during this gathering that a beautiful moment unfolded.
As the Queen conversed with the residents, she noticed an elderly woman searching for her dropped name badge on the floor.
Without hesitation, Queen Camilla gracefully knelt down to pick up the badge, demonstrating her genuine care and compassion.
In a light-hearted manner, the Queen engaged in conversation with the resident, joking about the exercise involved in bending over and getting back up again.
The heartwarming video capturing this gesture was shared on X platform, where it garnered praise from numerous royal fans.
Many expressed their admiration for Queen Camilla’s kind nature.
One user wrote, “I think she’s a really nice person.
I imagine that’s a quality the King would love about her.”
Another commented, “Shows what a thoughtful lady she really is.
Personally, I think she makes a great Queen.”
The Queen’s down-to-earth and straightforward demeanor also resonated with many.
A third user added, “The Queen is just a kind and straightforward woman.
We are so lucky to have her by our King’s side every step of the way, and so is he, but he knows it.”
Reflecting on the Queen’s humility, a fourth user noted, “She’s a gem, but her main concern was for the lady not to feel bad because the Queen took herself out.”
Camilla also provided an update on King Charles’ recovery when asked about his health.
“He’s recovering well, thank you,” she shared.
