Queen Camilla had a delightful moment today at Buckingham Palace when she received a special gift – a Barbie doll that bore a striking resemblance to her.
The doll sported shoulder-length hair and was dressed in attire identical to that of the Queen.
This charming episode took place during an international Women’s Day reception hosted by the Queen in her capacity as President of the Women of the World Foundation.
The Barbie doll presented to Camilla also featured a Wow Global brooch on its outfit.
In a light-hearted manner, upon receiving the doll, the Queen humorously remarked that the designers had managed to shave off approximately fifty years from her appearance.
The event was graced by the presence of renowned actress Dame Helen Mirren, who engaged with schoolchildren during the gathering.
Expressing her gratitude for the thoughtful gift, Camilla expressed, “Thank you very much indeed.
It’s fantastic, and they’ve taken almost fifty years out of my life.
I’m very, very grateful.
Thank you so much for doing this.
It’s great.”
Adding a touch of humor, the Queen playfully suggested, “You should all have a Barbie.”
Camilla looked radiant at the event, donning a stunning Fiona Clare vibrant blue dress with a plunging neckline, complemented by a chic black Amanda Vicolet cape.
The director of Wow, Jude Kelly, the visionary behind the foundation established in 2008, also had the honor of meeting the Queen during the reception.
The Wow Foundation stands as a beacon for fostering a global movement dedicated to advocating for a world where gender equality is not just a vision but a pressing necessity.
During her address at the event, the Queen made reference to two stones that were hurled at Buckingham Palace during a suffragette protest in May 1914, which are now preserved for public viewing at the palace.
