With a vast array of personal wealth accumulated over decades of colonial rule, Queen Elizabeth II is often referred to as the wealthiest woman in the world.
Her investments, art collection, jewels, and real estate have been the subject of much curiosity, particularly regarding who will inherit these treasured items, including historic jewels and artwork.
In 2017, the monarchy’s brand itself was valued at approximately $88 billion by valuation consultancy firm Brand Finance.
Forbes estimated Queen Elizabeth II’s personal wealth to be around $500 million.
However, according to a PTI report, the details of her last will and testament, which specify how her wealth will be distributed after her passing, indicate that Prince Harry has been excluded from any inheritance.
Representatives informed Forbes that Harry was not listed as a beneficiary of the $100 million left to the royal family by his great-grandmother, the Queen Mother.
There are rumors suggesting that Princess Anne is in control of the entire sum.
Radar Online confirmed in September 2022 that there is a strong possibility neither Harry nor Meghan will receive any valuable jewels.
While this may not come as a surprise since they are no longer members of the royal family, it could still be seen as a significant snub.
According to Radar Online, Meghan’s sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales, is set to inherit $110 million worth of jewelry from the Queen.
It is likely that she will pass some of these jewels on to their niece, Lilibet, as Prince William and his wife do not want her to be left out.
As for Meghan, she seems to be of no concern to them.
The insider added that the Queen completely excluded Meghan from the inheritance.
However, a source close to the palace revealed that although no money or jewelry was left to Harry, he was allowed to inherit a horse named Meg because of his love for polo.
This was the only gift mentioned, but until the official testament is released, Harry has not received anything to date.
If this information holds true, it may not be surprising.
There are doubts about Harry’s ability to handle money responsibly, with concerns that any inheritance would quickly be squandered on drugs, frivolous lawsuits, and extravagant outfits for his wife.
It remains unclear whether giving the horse named Meghan was meant as a playful jab.
Nevertheless, Meg joined seven other horses in pulling King Charles’s carriages during the coronation in May.
The royal family shared updates about this historic event on their official Twitter account, stating, “On the streets of London, the royal muse have been practicing for Coronation Day,” alongside a video clip.
The famous Windsor greys, including horses named Icon, Shadow, Milford Haven, Echo, Knightsbridge, Tyrone, and Meghan Newark, will pull the Diamond Jubilee state coach on the way to Westminster Abbey.
These horses have also been used in recent Jubilee celebrations for the late queen.
In other news related to Meghan, her partnership with Spotify and Prince Harry has come to an end after three years, $20 million, and only 13 episodes of content.
Additionally, French fashion brand Dior has firmly denied reports of a $20 million US sponsorship deal with Meghan Markle.
Rumors are now circulating that Harry and Meghan’s multi-million dollar deal with Netflix may also be in jeopardy.
While their docuseries from last year was the most-watched subscription TV show of 2022, there are apparently no plans for a follow-up series, and Netflix is unlikely to renew their contract.
“There is a less friendly attitude from some at the top,” reveals a source.
“The feeling is that the lemon has been fully squeezed.
The big bucks Harry and Meghan signed on for do not exist today.”
