Prince Harry’s Inheritance
Prince Harry, notorious for his controversial departure from the British royal family, did not inherit any part of the $100 million left by his great-grandmother, the Queen Mother, according to representatives.
However, after the tragic passing of his mother, Princess Diana, both Harry and his brother William received a portion of their mother’s estate on their 25th birthdays.
Forbes estimates this to be around $10 million each.
In a revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, Harry disclosed that he relied on the trust fund from his mother to support himself and his family after being financially cut off by his father, Prince Charles, at the beginning of 2020.
“I had to afford security for us,” Harry stated.
“I was cut off in the first quarter of 2020, but I’ve got what my mom left me, and without that, we would not have been able to do this.”
Meghan Markle’s Inheritance
Similar to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle did not receive any inheritance from Queen Elizabeth.
As confirmed by representatives, she was not a beneficiary of the $100 million left by the Queen Mother to the royal family.
Radar Online reported in September 2022 that there is a high possibility the Queen will not leave any valuable jewels to either Harry or Meghan.
This is not surprising, considering they are no longer active members of the royal family.
However, it is worth noting that Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is set to inherit $110 million in jewelry from the Queen.
It is speculated that Kate may pass some of her jewels to her niece, Lilbeth, to ensure she is not left out.
Meghan’s exclusion from the Queen’s inheritance could be due to practicality or the ongoing drama between the couple and the British royal family.
It is suggested that it may not be out of spite, but rather a message from the Queen to Harry and Meghan: “You reap what you sell.”
Prince Andrew’s Inheritance
BBC reported in September 2022 that Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, inherited two of the Queen’s beloved corgis, Mick and Sandy.
These corgis were originally gifted to the Queen by Andrew and their daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, in 2021.
Following the Queen’s passing, the corgis will return to live with Andrew and Sarah at Royal Lodge.
The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, was the one who discovered the puppies and presented them to Her Majesty.
Over the years, the Duchess formed a close bond with the Queen through activities such as dog walking and horse riding.
Even after her divorce, she maintained a strong friendship with the Queen, often taking the dogs for walks in Frogmore while engaging in heartfelt conversations.
Princess Anne’s Inheritance
Princess Anne, along with her brothers Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, inherited a share of the sovereign grant, which is now under the ownership of their eldest brother, King Charles III.
The exact amount of Princess Anne’s share remains unknown.
Additionally, there are reports suggesting that Princess Anne received a new royal title due to her significant role in the events leading up to Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022.
