Rachel Harris, known for her role in the hit series “Suit,” has dropped hints suggesting that she may be making a comeback for the highly anticipated reboot.
As an original member of the cast, Harris portrayed the recurring character Shiela Sazh, the love interest of Louis Lett, played by Rick Hoffman.
In a recent interview, the actress coyly revealed that talks have been ongoing regarding the involvement of the original cast members in the new series.
When asked if former co-stars, including Meghan Markle, would also be part of the reboot, Harris admitted that while she couldn’t speak on their behalf, she has remained in contact with all of them.
“I can’t speak for any of them, but I still see them all the time,” she shared.
“Sarah Rafferty is a great friend, and Rick Hoffman’s so wonderful.
I’d kill to work with any of them.
They’re all great.”
Although it was previously announced that main cast members Patrick J. Adams, Jewel Hill, and Sarah would be reuniting for a panel at the 2023 ATX Festival, Harris surprisingly revealed that she has not yet received an invitation.
However, she expressed optimism that her involvement in the reboot may lead to an invite.
“I haven’t been invited.
Maybe this will lead to an invite.
Maybe I’ll get an invite, but that reunion will be great for sure,” she stated.
“Suits” originally aired for eight years, from 2011 to 2019, but gained global popularity in 2023 when it joined Netflix.
The show achieved a remarkable feat by spending 12 consecutive weeks as the number one series on the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 chart.
During a recent appearance at Variety’s Power of Women event on November 16th, Meghan Markle, who starred in “Suits” for seven seasons, expressed her delight at the show’s renewed success and praised the cast.
“It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew.
We had a really fun time,” she shared.
Markle also attributed the show’s popularity to its binge-watchable nature, noting that it’s becoming increasingly rare to find shows with lengthy seasons that can be enjoyed in one go.
Despite previously expressing disinterest in returning to acting, Markle’s excitement about reentering the industry has been evident.
Her success in “Suits” on Netflix, coupled with her undeniable appeal, makes her a valuable asset in Hollywood.
However, rumors suggest that Markle may not be part of the “Suits” reunion.
The show’s executive producer, Gene Klein, recently commented on the show’s recent success, emphasizing that it cannot be solely attributed to Markle.
While discussing factors contributing to the boost, Klein did not mention Markle at all.
According to TVLine.com, “Suits” is currently one of the biggest shows globally, based on the Nielsen Streaming chart.
During the interview, Klein expressed surprise at the show’s popularity, stating, “I was surprised.
I’m very proud of the show.
I obviously had a sense when I found out it was coming to Netflix that it would probably get another burst of viewing and that kind of thing.
But I didn’t think this would happen.”
He further noted that the show’s consistent presence on the Nielsen Weekly Top 10 chart indicates that viewers are sticking with it, adding, “People are sticking with it.
It’s lovely.”
When asked about the reasons behind the enduring popularity of a show that has been off the air for years, Klein suggested that there are two factors at play.
