The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the Princess of Wales, accompanied by her sister Pippa Middleton, graced the annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey today.
The royal sisters radiated joy as they entered the prestigious event, where a lineup of celebrities awaited their presence.
Among the notable figures eagerly anticipating the royal family’s arrival at the Abbey’s Lady Chapel were renowned artists such as Beverly Knight, Adam Lambert, Jacob Collier, and Jim Broadbent.
Adding to the elegant affair, Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews were also captured arriving, alongside Lady Sarah Chateau and her spouse Daniel Chateau.
A special treat awaits the attendees of tonight’s concert, as the Princess is set to unveil a unique festive surprise – John Lennon’s piano rendition of the classic tune “Last Christmas.”
This iconic instrument, once used by the legendary ex-Beatle for his timeless composition “Imagine,” has been graciously loaned by the estate of the late George Michael.
The evening promises to be a musical extravaganza, with British Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Jacob Collier set to enchant the audience with renditions of George Michael’s beloved Christmas hits.
This performance is expected to be a standout moment during the royal service, now in its third consecutive year.
Capturing the spirit of the holiday season, the royal carols event will be recorded tonight and later broadcast on ITVI and ITVX over the Christmas period.
Under the leadership of the Princess and with the backing of the Royal Foundation, W. Lilliam and Kate’s charity, the service aims to honor individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to helping others throughout the year.
This year’s theme, Cat’s Early Years Campaign, focuses on the critical impact of a child’s formative years from birth to age five on their future development into adulthood.
The exclusive guest list of 1,500 includes parents, caregivers, early childhood educators, midwives, health visitors, and community volunteers – all nominated by the Lord Lieutenant or Royal Family Affiliated Charities nationwide.
Notably, some families with young children who have faced significant challenges this year have also received invitations, courtesy of charitable organizations endorsed by the Princess.
