A new tell-all biography titled The House of Beckhams by Tom Bauer has exposed a potential rift between Meghan Markle and Victoria Beckham.
The book reveals that shortly after her engagement to Prince Harry, Markle expressed interest in wearing designs by Victoria Beckham.
However, tensions arose when Markle’s request for complimentary handbags and clothing from the renowned designer was turned down, leading to a strained relationship between the two fashion icons.
The latest royal controversy delves into a fashion blunder involving Meghan Markle and Victoria Beckham.
Following revelations that Markle was perturbed by Beckham’s affluence, a fresh narrative has emerged.
Despite their previous intimacy, which even saw Markle staying at the Beckhams’ residence in Los Angeles, things soured when Markle sought free apparel and accessories from Victoria Beckham’s fashion line, a request that was reportedly rejected by the palace citing protocol.
According to Bauer, the palace vetoed Markle’s request as it contravened their regulations.
The book is set to be released in the US on June 25th, having already hit the shelves in the UK.
During Markle’s stay with the Beckhams, a member of Victoria’s team offered beauty recommendations for facials and hairstylists in London.
However, suspicions of a leak to the press led to a breakdown of trust between Markle and Victoria, potentially fueling the tension between them.
The situation escalated further when Prince Harry confronted David Beckham over the alleged leak, with the Beckhams denying any involvement and attributing it to a beautician.
Despite their longstanding friendship with the royals, particularly Prince William and Harry, tensions mounted when Meghan’s feud intensified, resulting in the Beckhams being invited solely to the wedding and not the subsequent celebration.
Bauer’s claims suggest that Meghan was irked by the stark wealth discrepancy between herself and the Beckhams, who owned multiple properties, had access to private jets, and enjoyed lavish lifestyles.
The book insinuates that Meghan took advantage of the Beckhams’ hospitality during her stay at their Beverly Hills mansion.
Prince Harry, on the other hand, is said to be grappling with increasing disapproval from the royal family following a series of snubs, including not being invited to King Charles III’s birthday parade.
Since relinquishing his senior royal duties and making controversial statements in his memoir, Prince Harry has faced estrangement from key family members, particularly his father and brother, Prince William.
Residing in the US and at odds with the royal establishment, Prince Harry is reportedly feeling the weight of their disapproval, exemplified by the recent exclusion from royal events.
Despite his hopes of being persuaded to attend such occasions, the days of such reconciliation seem distant for the Duke of Sussex.
