Last weekend, the royal family traded their formal attire for some serious fun as the Prince and Princess of Wales engaged in an exhilarating Nerf battle with their children.
The family took center stage at the Gone Wilds festival held at Holcombe Hall in Norfolk, where Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and the ever-enthusiastic Prince Louis unleashed their competitive spirits in a high-energy showdown complete with toy guns and smoke bombs.
According to Georgina Barron, the mastermind behind Norfolk Nerf Party, little Louis was the star of the show.
He ran around shouting “Nerf or nothing, let’s do this!
“—a rallying cry that set the tone for an unforgettable day filled with laughter and excitement.
The Princess of Wales, who has been bravely facing her own health challenges, joined in the fun, grabbing a Nerf gun and leaping into games like “stuck in the mud” alongside her kids.
Barron described hosting the royal family as a tremendous honor, emphasizing how special the day turned out to be.
In a refreshing twist, the royals opted for a day of normalcy, shying away from the usual spotlight.
They requested not to be photographed, aiming to enjoy a genuine family outing just like any other household.
Kensington Palace has yet to comment on the event, but it’s clear that the family sought a break from their royal duties to indulge in some playful bonding time.
The Gone Wilds festival typically accommodates 640 children each day, but last weekend’s festivities were elevated by the inclusion of a very special VIP family.
Barron shared that she received a call from the production team, notifying her that a notable family had expressed interest in participating in the Nerf Wars.
