The royal family came together on Sunday, December 25th, as they joined King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla for their traditional Christmas Day walk.
Prince William, dressed in a dark suit, accompanied his wife Catherine, who looked elegant in a green hat and matching dress.
The princess wore a tailored coat by Alexander McQueen, a piece she has worn before, including during royal engagements in Bradford in January 2020.
Princess Charlotte looked adorable in a red jacket and dark tights, while Prince Louis impressed royal fans by joining the family for the first time, donning a blue jacket.
Social media was abuzz with excitement over Prince Louis’ appearance, with one fan writing on Twitter, “I was so pleased to see Prince Louis, he brings the sunshine on any cold day.”
It is heartening to witness the future generation of the monarchy following in the footsteps of their parents, learning about love and respect for their fellow countrymen.
However, some curious fans questioned why Prince Louis was not wearing long pants or trousers.
The British monarchy is fortunate to have the beautiful Wales family as part of its future, as expressed by another fan.
The surprise presence of Prince Andrew, along with his daughters Beatrice and Eugene, added to the excitement of the day.
Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, accompanied by their children Louise and James, were also in attendance.
Zara Phillips and her husband Mike Tyndall, along with their daughter Lena, as well as Peter Phillips, Princess Anne’s son, and his two children, were all captured in photographs.
The royal ladies showcased their stunning winter coats and accessories, with Sophie Wessex drawing attention in a beige coat dress cinched with a chunky belt.
She completed her look with a wide-brimmed hat, seemingly making a statement in response to Meghan’s claims about dress protocol in a Netflix documentary.
Meghan had stated that she was not allowed to wear colors or clash with other royal ladies.
The united front displayed by the royal family follows the broadcast of a Christmas Eve carol service on British television, organized by Catherine.
This comes after weeks of headlines generated by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary.
In the spirit of the holiday season, Kate and William shared a drawing by Prince George on Instagram, captioning it as “Happy Christmas by George.”
The drawing depicted a deer.
This year’s festivities are bound to feel different, as the Queen is no longer with us.
It is expected to be an emotional time for the family, with tears shed in remembrance of her.
However, it will also be a joyful occasion for the younger members of the family, carrying on the traditions as the Queen would have wanted.
King Charles is likely to replicate the customs of the past, although it is unlikely that he will stay at Sandringham until February, as the Queen used to do to honor her father’s passing.
His schedule may not allow for such an extended stay.
