The annual Holyrood Week festivities, also known as Royal Week, are set to commence in Scotland next week, with the Prince of Wales, the King, and other members of the royal family slated to be in attendance.
However, it has been reported that Catherine will not be joining the royal entourage due to her ongoing chemotherapy treatment.
As preparations for the traditional week in Edinburgh are underway, journalist Cameron shared insights on the upcoming event during a discussion on GB News.
The customary exchange of keys is expected to take place, with a significant ceremony scheduled to unfold at St Giles Cathedral, likely to be graced by most members of the royal family.
When asked about Princess Catherine’s potential visit to the royal family in Scotland, Cameron mentioned that it is nearing the time for the traditional summer break when they retreat to Balmoral Castle.
Notably, this year marks the first time the general public will have the opportunity to explore the Balmoral Estate and admire the interior of the historic castle.
During the conversation, host Isabel lightheartedly teased the royal family, suggesting that their stays at Balmoral are never straightforward.
She alluded to the various events that tend to occur, such as the Queen’s absence, hinting at the dynamic nature of their time spent there.
Additionally, it was mentioned that Prime Minister Liz Truss is also expected to make a visit to the estate.
The King is anticipated to visit Edinburgh for Holyrood Week and will be accommodated at the Holyrood House Palace.
Speculation has arisen that the King might select a new Prime Minister for Scotland from this location.
However, concerns persist regarding the King’s health as he battles cancer, leading to rumors that he may not be well enough to return to London post-election to appoint a new leader for Britain.
Royal expert Cameron Walker expressed that if the King’s health permits, the customary journey may be curtailed.
