The royal family’s Christmas celebrations commenced in full swing at the Norfolk Royal Estate, where King Charles and Queen Camilla, accompanied by their entourage, attended a traditional Christmas Eve church service this morning.
The monarch appeared in high spirits, exchanging waves with well-wishers and engaging in conversations with dog owners on her way to St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham.
Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and Sir Timothy Lawrence were by her side during this festive occasion.
As they made their way to the church, King Charles warmly smiled at the crowds gathered to welcome the royal family at the Sandringham Estate.
Many attendees eagerly snapped pictures of the royal entourage using their mobile phones.
A choir lieutenant-colonel named Jonathan Thompson ensured the safe escort of the King and other members of the royal family into the church, adding to the solemnity of the event.
Later today, the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their children and other royal family members, will reunite with King Charles and Queen Camilla at the Norfolk Estate.
Notably absent from the gathering are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are celebrating Christmas Day at their residence in Los Angeles.
Contrary to reports, there is no anticipated family gathering with Camilla’s relatives joining the royal couple at Sandringham this year.
The King donned his beloved tweed coat, estimated to be approximately four decades old and tailored on Seville Row, over a stylish slate grey suit paired with brown suede shoes.
Queen Camilla looked elegant in a cozy wool coat and a black feathered hat, following closely behind the King and exchanging smiles with the families awaiting the royal family’s arrival.
Princess Anne added a touch of festivity with her red coat, navy tartan skirt, hat, and boots, engaging in friendly conversation with her sister-in-law during their journey through rural Norfolk.
Accompanying the royal family was Lieutenant-Colonel Jonathan Thompson, a trusted aide to the King.
Lieutenant Carl Thompson, a father-of-one from the 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland, resides in Surrey with his wife Caroline.
