Royal enthusiasts were thrilled as James, Earl of Wessex, made a seldom-seen public appearance, leaving many astounded by how much he has grown since his last outing.
Welcome to Royal Pancakes, where we bring you the latest news on the British monarchy.
Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie’s son, James, Earl of Wessex, joined his older sister Lady Louise Windsor and other members of the Royal Family in Sandringham on Christmas Day.
This marked his first public appearance since King Charles’s coronation in May, and it caused quite a stir among Royal fans as he made his way to St Mary Magdalene Church for the Christmas Mass.
Dressed in a tailored navy suit paired with a matching overcoat, the 16-year-old James stood proudly beside his father, catching the attention of Royal supporters who couldn’t help but marvel at his growth.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans expressed their delight.
One user commented, “Viscount Seven seems to have grown so much this year.
Lady Louise looks more like Queen Elizabeth than ever before.
Such a lovely family.”
Another fan remarked, “He’s taller than his father,” while a third added, “Taller than dad already, even though he looks just like him.”
A fourth chimed in, exclaiming, “When did he get so tall?”
and another simply stated, “Heartthrob.”
There was even speculation that James, standing at six feet tall at the age of 16, might surpass the height of Prince William.
Earlier this month, the Earl of Wessex celebrated his 16th birthday.
He is now preparing to sit his GCSE exams next spring, which will eventually pave the way for him to choose his future path.
Reflecting on her children’s education in 2020, the Duchess of Edinburgh shared her thoughts with the Times.
Sophie explained, “We try to bring them up with the understanding that they are very likely going to have to work for a living.
Hence why we made the decision not to use HRH titles.
