The Princess of Wales once disclosed that her three children adore making pancakes to mark Shrove Tuesday annually.
Kate, the Princess of Wales, playfully expressed her concern that her offspring – Prince George, aged 10, Princess Charlotte, aged 8, and Prince Louis, aged 5 – might boycott pancakes following a comical incident on Shrove Tuesday.
Last February, Princess Kate paid a visit to Oxford House Nursing Home in Slough, where she engaged in a pancake-making challenge.
Despite her best efforts, the Princess found herself bursting into laughter as she struggled to flip the pancake.
During the event, Princess Kate, amidst chuckles, mentioned that she wished there was some music playing while the residents and staff watched her attempts.
Reflecting on her children’s reaction, Kate humorously remarked, “The kids probably won’t want to make pancakes.
Mom, we’ve seen you do that, no way!”
After a few failed attempts, Princess Kate finally managed to flip the pancake but jokingly advised against consuming it.
“Sure don’t eat that pancake,” she quipped, “All the ones made earlier are much nicer.
I’m sorry, I really didn’t do you justice.”
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are presently enjoying their half-term break in February at Anmer Hall, their countryside retreat in Norfolk.
Despite her ongoing recovery from planned abdominal surgery last month, Princess Kate has reportedly joined her family in Norfolk.
A statement released on January 17 stated that the Senior Royal will not resume her duties until after Easter, allowing her time to recuperate fully.
In a light-hearted moment, Princess Kate’s pancake mishap showcased her down-to-earth nature and sense of humor, endearing her even more to the public.
