After a 13-day stay in a private London clinic for planned stomach surgery, the Princess of Wales has been discharged from the hospital, confirmed by Kensington Palace.
The Palace released a statement announcing her return to Windsor to continue her recovery from the surgery, emphasizing that she is progressing well.
Expressing their gratitude, the Prince and Princess extended a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated team at the London Clinic, especially the nursing staff, for their attentive care during her time there.
The Wales family also conveyed appreciation for the outpouring of well-wishes they received from people worldwide.
During her hospitalization, the Princess received visits from various family members, including the Prince of Wales, King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Middletons.
Prince William, her husband, has taken a temporary step back from his royal responsibilities to look after his wife and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, aged ten, eight, and five respectively.
With Kate’s departure from the London Clinic on Monday, the timing of her return to official duties will be determined based on forthcoming medical advice.
Looking ahead, once the Princess has fully recuperated, Prince William intends to resume his public engagements as usual.
Kate’s initial admission to the clinic occurred shortly after her 42nd birthday on Tuesday, January 16th.
