After attending the Queen’s funeral in the UK, the Sussexes made a public appearance at Windsor Castle alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The purpose of their walkabout was to greet well-wishers who had gathered to pay their respects to the late Queen.
However, it is reported that Meghan Markle found the experience challenging for various reasons, including being away from her children, Archie and Lilibet.
According to a new book titled “Our King Charles III” by royal reporter Robert Jobson, Meghan faced difficulties throughout the day.
The book reveals that it was the longest period of time she had been separated from her kids.
Additionally, she had to deal with the knowledge of what was being said about her in the media, making the situation even more challenging.
Meghan and Harry have often faced criticism regarding their parenting, with some even questioning the existence of their children.
This walkabout also follows previous claims that Catherine, the Princess of Wales, found the event to be one of the most challenging things she has ever had to do.
It is believed that tensions between the senior royal couples played a role in her discomfort.
Furthermore, the Mirror reports that the Princess of Wales struggled with the time spent together during the walkabout.
Speculation has arisen among royal fans regarding whether Prince Harry was wearing a microphone at the Queen’s funeral.
This speculation emerged after a video clip surfaced online showing him adjusting his Netflix microphone.
While the walkabout may have seemed like a symbol of unity within the royal family following the Queen’s death, sources have indicated otherwise.
According to Jobson, the apparent togetherness was merely an illusion.
He claims that Catherine shot icy glares at Meghan, attempting to freeze her out, as observed by a body language expert.
Meghan, who is usually confident, appeared uneasy during the encounter, which is understandable considering the recent criticism she has faced.
Katie Aloisel, an expert in body language, stated that Prince William seemed to make an effort with his sister-in-law.
However, the Princess of Wales’ stares suggested that she was trying to exclude Meghan.
Meghan would often look over at Kate, but the gaze was not reciprocated.
It appeared as though Middleton was looking right through her.
Aloisel believes that Catherine successfully made Meghan feel uncomfortable.
During the walkabout, Meghan’s hand hesitantly lifted as if to wave, but then paused mid-air.
She instead adjusted her hair, lowered her head and gaze, before finally giving a quick wave.
Aloisel explained that Meghan’s arm then returned to rest in front of her body, forming a partial arm barrier.
This body language expert suggests that Catherine put Meghan in her place, and it was satisfying to witness.
Despite the challenges their marriage and family have faced, William and Catherine have always displayed decorum and class, prioritizing their duty.
They remain a close and strong unit, unaffected by the attempts of others to undermine them.
Relations between the Sussexes and the Firm are currently strained, with Prince Harry’s explosive memoir, “Spare,” exacerbating the situation.
In the book, he repeatedly criticizes senior members of the royal family, even alleging that Prince William physically attacked him on one occasion.
Prior to the memoir, Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary aired, in which Harry criticized his father, King Charles, and took aim at other male members of the Firm for their approach to marriage.
