It has been nearly a decade since Kate Middleton and Prince William exchanged vows at Westminster Abbey, and it seems that the Queen has something special in store to commemorate their milestone anniversary.
According to reports, Her Majesty is considering bestowing another prestigious honor upon Kate, in recognition of her ten years of marriage to the future King.
Back in 2019, on their eighth anniversary, the Queen bestowed her highest seal of approval by making Kate Middleton a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.
This award, personally given by the Queen for services to the Sovereign, highlighted Kate’s dedication as a member of the monarchy.
Now, as their tenth anniversary approaches, the Queen is believed to be planning another secret surprise to honor Kate’s contributions.
Royal expert Duncan Larkham shared with OK!
Magazine that it is highly likely the Queen will arrange something special to mark this significant milestone.
He emphasized the fantastic relationship between Kate and the Queen, explaining that Kate manages to strike a balance between her public role as a member of the Royal Family and her personal connection with the Queen as a great-grandmother to her children.
Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic, Kate and the Queen have remained close, with the Duchess having a direct line of communication to Her Majesty.
Kate regularly checks in with the Queen and provides updates on the well-being of her and Prince William’s children – George, Charlotte, and Louis.
In fact, it is even believed that Kate taught the Queen how to use video calls so that she could stay connected with her great-grandchildren during times when physical visits were not possible.
Beyond her role within the Royal Family, the Duchess of Cambridge has been actively involved in various charitable causes.
She has championed early years development for children and has represented the monarch on trips to Commonwealth countries.
Additionally, alongside her husband and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, Kate has worked tirelessly to raise awareness about mental health.
Recently, Kate expressed her gratitude to NHS staff for their exceptional efforts during the pandemic.
In a video call with nurses from the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, she listened to their stories and personally thanked them for their dedication.
During the conversation, Kate was moved by the touching account of a senior nurse who held the hand of a dying patient and played his favorite band, Bon Jovi, as his wife couldn’t be by his side.
Kate commended the nurse’s compassion and even shared a lighthearted moment when the NHS worker joked about his Asian accent preventing him from singing the rock group’s hits, as requested by the patient’s wife.
