An Australian radio host recently revealed a startling encounter at an event hosted by Meghan Markle, where security officials allegedly threatened to arrest him if he attempted to leave early.
The incident, which took place during Meghan’s time as a senior member of the royal family, has sparked controversy and raised questions about the treatment of guests at high-profile gatherings.
Joel Creasy, a well-known comedian, recounted the incident that occurred several years ago, highlighting Meghan’s significant delay in starting the event.
“I went along and she was five hours late,” he shared.
When Creasy expressed his desire to leave due to the extended wait, he claimed to have been met with a surprising and concerning response from the security personnel present.
“I said, can I leave?
I don’t care about her that much.
And security said, no, you can’t leave.
We will arrest you,” Creasy recalled, shedding light on the tense situation that unfolded at the event attended by the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle, who officially became the Duchess of Sussex upon marrying Prince Harry in May 2018, has been a prominent figure in the royal family.
The couple’s engagement in November 2017 captured global attention, leading up to their widely watched wedding ceremony at Windsor Castle.
Following their marriage, Meghan and Harry fulfilled their final royal duties at Westminster Abbey in March 2020 before announcing their decision to step back as senior working royals.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the couple expressed their intention to pursue financial independence and carve out a new path for themselves outside the constraints of traditional royal responsibilities.
As speculations swirl about Meghan and Harry’s potential return to the UK for the upcoming King’s coronation in May, uncertainties loom over their attendance.
While an invitation from the King is anticipated, the couple’s presence remains unconfirmed, leaving royal enthusiasts eager for updates on their plans.
Since tying the knot, Meghan and Harry have expanded their family with the arrival of two children, Archie and Lilibet.
