In a shocking turn of events, a new book claims that Meghan Markle engaged in a flirtatious relationship with champion golfer Rory McIlroy, leading to suspicions of infidelity.
According to Tom Bauer’s recently released book, Revenge, Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, McIlroy and Markle first crossed paths when he nominated her for the Ice Bucket Challenge in August 2014.
This unexpected encounter occurred just weeks after McIlroy’s victory at the Open Championship in Britain.
At the time, McIlroy had recently ended his engagement to Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki and was reportedly seeking the company of brunettes.
Following their Ice Bucket Challenge video, which aimed to raise funds for motor neuron disease research, the pair shared a drink at the Fitzpatrick Hotel in New York City, where McIlroy was staying.
They were later invited by hotel owner John Fitzpatrick to join him and 20 friends for dinner at Cipriani.
The next morning, despite feeling the effects of a lively night, McIlroy made his way to Ridgewood Country Club, located 30 miles away, to plan a new competition.
Instead of resting near the golf course as he typically would, McIlroy drove back to New York City to spend time with Meghan.
Reflecting on his performance, he admitted that he wasn’t fully focused on his game, confessing, “‘I was busy enjoying myself.'”
Meanwhile, in Toronto, Markle’s then-boyfriend, chef Corey Vitiello, expressed admiration for McIlroy and their joint venture, a now-defunct blog called The Tig.
According to Bauer’s book, Markle saw an opportunity to use her connection with the golfer to promote herself and even encouraged the media to publish photos of them together.
While Vitiello questioned the nature of their relationship, Markle assured him that it was innocent, and he believed her.
Later that year, Markle leveraged her connections to secure a speaking slot at the One Young World Conference in Dublin.
In a message sent to an Irish friend of McIlroy, she eagerly mentioned her upcoming trip, stating, “‘I head out there on October the 14th to the 17th.
Have a wonderful night.
Ex Meghan Markle.'”
Remarkably, McIlroy paid for Markle and Vitiello’s flight to Dublin on a private jet.
According to sources cited by Bauer, Markle and McIlroy had a dinner date at the upscale Fade Street Social restaurant in Dublin on October 17th.
A newspaper gossip columnist observed Markle looking infatuated with McIlroy, which further upset Vitiello.
He confronted Markle, questioning whether an affair had taken place.
Markle vehemently denied any betrayal, insisting that she and McIlroy were just friends.
Once again, Vitiello chose to believe her.
In other news, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have recently faced criticism for accusing Prince William of being a bully.
Royal biographer Angela Levin expressed her disapproval of this claim during an interview with talk TV host Mike Graham.
Levin stated that such accusations undermine any remaining respect for the couple, comparing it to a child calling their sibling a bully.
These shocking revelations surrounding Meghan Markle’s alleged affair with Rory McIlroy have left the public astounded.
As the book delves deeper into the complex dynamics within the royal family, it raises questions about trust, loyalty, and the consequences of indiscretions.
The impact of these revelations on the Windsors and their ongoing struggles remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the world continues to be captivated by the ever-unfolding drama surrounding Meghan and Harry.
