King Charles is gearing up for his inaugural Trooping the Colour as monarch, a time-honored British royal tradition filled with grandeur and spectacle.

This significant event, which occurs annually, commemorates the official birthday of the British Sovereign and has been a part of the royal calendar since 1760.

Trooping the Colour is characterized by a magnificent parade featuring hundreds of soldiers, with members of the royal family making appearances either on horseback or in elaborate carriages.

The King and Queen will lead their family members onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace, where they will witness the Royal Air Force fly past and wave to the enthusiastic crowds gathered below.

This year, the event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 17th, coinciding with the King’s newly designated official birthday.

However, there is one notable absence from the guest list.

Prince Harry and Meghan have not received an invitation to the King’s birthday parade, marking the first time in Harry’s life that he has not been included in the monarch’s official birthday celebrations.

According to Richard Eden, editor of the Daily Mail, this exclusion reflects the current state of relations within the royal family.

Last year, Prince Harry and Meghan attended Trooping the Colour as part of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee weekend.

They were invited by the late Queen to observe the ceremony alongside other members of the royal family from offices overlooking Horse Guards Parade.

Photographers using long lenses managed to capture grainy shots of the couple playfully interacting with Zara and Mike Tyndall’s young children through the window.

However, they were not invited to join the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the official fly past later in the day.

Since then, Harry and Meghan’s actions have strained their relationship with the royal family.

They participated in a docuseries for Netflix, making contentious claims that were strongly disputed.

Additionally, Harry published his controversial memoir, “Spare,” which divulged intimate conversations with family members and included sensational allegations, such as an alleged assault by Prince William.

Harry recently returned to Britain, reportedly staying at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, while he provided evidence in his privacy case against Mirror Group newspapers at the High Court in London.

During his visit, it is said that he did not communicate with his father or brother.

On the day of Trooping the Colour, King Charles will lead his family onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the iconic photo opportunity.

Joining the King and Queen will be senior members of the royal family, as well as the page boys who assisted their majesties during the event.

The working royals, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, are expected to appear on the balcony.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their children, James, the Earl of Wessex, and Lady Louise, are also anticipated to make an appearance, along with Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Lawrence.

Other attendees include Princess Alexandra of Kent, the Duke of Kent, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

However, non-working royals such as Prince Andrew and his two children, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are not expected to join the balcony gathering.
