Zara Tindall and Princess Eugenie were among the members of the royal family who attended a Christmas lunch hosted by King Charles III at Windsor Castle.

The festive gathering saw Prince Andrew also leaving the premises after the event.

As the evening came to a close, other notable figures such as Peter Phillips, the son of Princess Anne, the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and Edoardo Mappoli Mosi were seen departing from the celebration.

Additionally, several extended relatives joined Charles and Camilla for the traditional meal the day before.

This annual tradition, which takes place on the Wednesday prior to Christmas, offers a rare opportunity for the monarch’s extended family to gather.

It allows Charles to celebrate with those who do not receive an invitation to spend Christmas in Norfolk with the senior royals.

During the event, the family members are seated at round tables, enjoying a Sandringham bread turkey lunch and participating in cracker pulling.

Earlier in the day, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, along with Princess Anne, arrived at the venue.

Prince Edward, accompanied by his wife Sophie and their daughter Lady Louise Windsor, was also spotted.

Following closely behind them was the Princess Royal, elegantly dressed in an emerald green ensemble, being driven by her husband, Tim Lawrence.

Zara Tindall and her husband Mike were also present at the lunch.

Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, attended with his wife Sophie and their children.

Lady Helen Taylor, accompanied by her husband and kids, was seen at the gathering as well.

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank were among those leaving after enjoying the festive lunch.

It was reported that Sarah Ferguson, Eugenie’s mother, was also invited to the banquet and left early.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were absent from the Christmas celebrations with their families.

Sarah Ferguson’s presence at King Charles’ cozy party was seen as a subtle dig at Meghan.

Despite her divorce from Andrew, Fergie is still considered a family member and has found a home on the Windsor estate, living rent-free with the Queen’s corgis by her side.

Unlike Meghan, Fergie’s reputation remains relatively untarnished, and her children have retained their titles.

Fergie never resorted to bad-mouthing her in-laws and instead faced the consequences of her unfortunate choices with grace.

Although Fergie had her fair share of scandals, such as accepting bribes, she made efforts to earn money independently through books, Weight Watchers, and even an appearance on the show Friends.

However, she always knew her place and never had any intentions of undermining the monarchy like Meghan seems to have.

Fergie had the support of Andrew, who fought for her, and with the Queen no longer around, she was indulged.

As for the future King, Charles may be the only person willing to accept Harry and Meghan back into the family, given his influence.

Now that Harry and Meghan have exposed every sordid detail, there is nothing left to protect.

They have played their final card.

It is clear that the family does not want them back, and the institution does not require their presence to safeguard sensitive information.

Perhaps Harry and Meghan believed that revealing the names of those who discriminated against them would put an end to the guessing game and pave the way for reconciliation.

Unfortunately, it appears that their last bargaining chip has been exhausted.
