The Trooping the Colour ceremony for the King’s birthday took place today, and the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, made a heartfelt tribute to her late mother-in-law.<\/p>\n

Kate, 41, looked elegant in a stunning bright green satin dress and matching hat as she arrived at the Horse Guards Parade with Queen Camilla and her three children.<\/p>\n

Her husband, the Prince of Wales, was also present on horseback alongside King Charles.<\/p>\n

As they made their way down the mall in a carriage, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, behaved impeccably, waving and smiling at the onlookers.<\/p>\n

It was a touching moment when Kate paid homage to Princess Diana by wearing a pair of sapphire drop earrings that once belonged to her late mother-in-law.<\/p>\n

This year’s Trooping the Colour event holds special significance as it is the first one following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II last September and King Charles’ inaugural birthday parade.<\/p>\n

Kate, who took over her husband’s role as Colonel of the Irish Guards at the end of last year, opted for a bold single-color look, donning green from head to toe.<\/p>\n

This choice symbolized her position and duties within the Irish Guards.<\/p>\n

To further emphasize her Irish role, Kate wore a gold brooch in the shape of a clover.<\/p>\n

Completing her ensemble, the Royal styled her chestnut locks in a low bun, neatly tucked beneath the brim of her hat.<\/p>\n

The three children were also seen arriving at the event together, eagerly waving at the adoring Royal fans.<\/p>\n

Later in the day, Kate joined her husband, Prince Charles, and their children, George, Louis, and Charlotte, along with King Charles and Queen Camilla, on the Buckingham Palace balcony for a military flypast.<\/p>\n

Approximately 70 aircraft from the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force participated in the spectacular display.<\/p>\n

In addition to Kate and her family, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, appeared on the balcony accompanied by her husband, Prince Edward, Princess Anne, and her husband, Sir Timothy Lawrence.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Charles will be joined by the Queen and other members of the Royal Family to witness the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards trooping their color.<\/p>\n

Trooping the Colour has been a significant annual event for over 260 years, marking the official birthday of the Sovereign.<\/p>\n
